This is was a trip to the Sunshine Coast just west of Vancouver in early August.

Here is a cool event: anual CANstruction event. People enter the competetion by making stuff entirely out of canned food. In the end, all food is donated to the local food banks. Since 1003, they have raised 355,000 cans of food. (website)

I'd say this isprobably the bleakest season in terms of views - no flowers, no leaves, even no snow. If a campus looks like this now, can't image how beautiful it will be in the other seasons.

Still, the weather was far from perfect - heck, the weather was still sucky, but at least we are not getting dowsed. Actually, walking in slight rain around the old campus has a certain mood that's quite comforting.

Went out to see how this fall thing is going...As usual, rain is back in Vancouver October, so haven't gone out for a long time. Original plan for this weekend eas to help a friend to lay new floors, but their seem to hav mustered the courage to do it themselves, so there I have a spare day AND no rain. Deer lake ...so, how's autumn going?

Saturday afternoon, we took our first stroll in stanley park this year. The weather could've been better, but the blame is on us for missing out the splendid sun shine during the past weeks. Anyway, it's always good to be in stanley park. Afterwars, we went to the Shaolin noodle house on west broadway, for their Food-Network-TV famous hand strecthed noodles...
